A Review of the New Benefit Roller Lash Mascara!

Hi everyone! Today’s blog post is going to be first impression/review of the brand new Benefit Roller Lash mascara. I always get excited when Benefit bring out a new product because they are definitely one of my favourite make up brands! As well as that, their They’re Real mascara is definitely one of my favourites, so I felt like I absolutely HAD to try this out!

The Packaging

So, first thing’s first, the packaging. The Benefit Roller Lash packaging is to die for! It’s a beautiful black and coral pink which will definitely stand out on the beauty shelves. You can tell that they have really thought about the packaging as the colours remind me of how a chic hairdressers would have been decorated back in the day! I’ll post a picture below so you can see what I mean.

The Wand

The wand is quite unique as it’s pretty slim and has a slight curve to it. The bristles are very fine and close together, without being too long. From a first impression, the wand looks like the sort of thing I’d go for in a mascara. I don’t always like going for massive wands as it can make the application quite messy and can stop you getting right into the corners for that beautiful ‘cat-eye’ look.

The Price

This mascara is retailing at £19.50. I guess that is quite a lot for a mascara, but if you are into high-end mascaras anyway then it’s quite an average price to pay.

The Performance

I made sure to use this mascara for at least a week before I gave it a proper review. This is mainly because I can sometimes change my mind on mascaras, and some days my lashes are cooperative and others they really aren’t. So, to give it a fair review, I have been using it most days for over a week.

The consistency of the product isn’t too thick which is great as it means it doesn’t clump, but it adds a hell of a lot of length and, as the product states, it makes your lashes look super curled. I love this kind of mascara look, so if you are looking for more volume and a thick consistency then this probably isn’t the right mascara for you.

Because I have quite watery eyes I really struggle to find a mascara that doesn’t leave black under my eyes. This one left me with a tiny bit but nothing that a quick touch up wouldn’t cure. I really like the Roller Lash for a day time mascara but also feel like it would be perfect for evenings if you are planning on using a pair of really natural falsies.

I’ve uploaded some pictures below of me wearing the mascara so you can see the full effect. As you can see, the mascara really separates the lashes, lengthens and curls.

I would say the Roller Lash is definitely going to be in my Top 5 mascaras as it’s very natural but pretty. Out of 10 I would give it an 8! Have you tried the Benefit Roller Lash? If so, what did you think of it? Please leave comments below!
