Pretty Muted Lilac and Silver Eye Makeup Tutorial for Valentines Day!

Hi guys!

I am so excited to show you this tutorial because I was extremely happy with the end result. This is a muted lilac and silver eye makeup look with a rose pink nude lip. I wanted something that would be appropriate for Valentines day with it being sexy and smokey but pretty at the same time by not going too over the top. If you want to see how I achieved this look then keep reading!

So lets get started…

Once I had my foundation base and eyebrows sorted, I chose to use the Mary Lou Manizer highlighter by The Balm on the tops of my cheek bones. This product has a beautiful bright sheen which gives your skin some dewiness. It is one of my favourite highlighters for sure, so if you haven’t tried this out then I definitely recommend it! I then wanted to add some bronzer to my face, so I went with the Benefit Hoola bronzer, by lightly contouring my cheeks and blending it upwards. To finish off the cheeks I used a tiny bit of Benefit Sugarbomb blusher.

Then we come onto the best part, the eyes! For this makeup look i used the new Urban Decay Vice 3 palette! It has so many different shades so endless looks can be created with this product!

I started with the shade Truth on the base of the eyes, which is a matte cream shade. It is acting as the transition shade for this look to make blending a lot easier. I then went with the shade Downfall in the crease, but not going too high. Downfall is a matte light golden brown. I then used the shade Angel, which is a shimmery gold shade, on the outer V area to deepen this part. I then used a slightly darker muted lilac shade called Defy, and applied this on the outer V and through the crease. This shade also went underneath my eye lining it, with Angel added on top very lightly.

I wanted my lashes to be quite dramatic so I chose the Diorshow Blackout Mascara. It is a very thick mascara so needs to be applied quite carefully to ensure you don’t get clumps, but if it’s applied right then it is absolutely stunning! I finished off the look with one of my favourite Mac Lipsticks, Faux. This is a beautiful satin rose pink shade, which is slightly nude rather than a bright colour. I wanted something natural but pretty for this Valentines look!
