Hi everyone! Hope you are all well. This makeup tutorial is going to be absolutely perfect for any night out you may have planned, as it features dramatic dark eyes with gorgeous golden glitter. This eye look is actually quite simple to do. There are a few different products and shades used but it’s quite quick and gives a gorgeous sparkly effect which I really enjoyed going out wearing.

The entire eyeshadow look was created using the Smashbox Full Exposure Palette. I started with the shade M3 and took that through the crease as our transition shade, and then patted it onto the lid. Then, I patted M2 onto the outer half of the lid, and slightly through the crease on top of the previous colour. I then took the darkest shade, M1 and used this on the outer V and slightly through the outer half of the crease to create a defined effect.

Once I had fully blended the eyeshadows, I took a makeup wipe and used it to create a harsh eyeshadow line from the outer corner of my eye to the tip of my brow. I then topped up my foundation in this area to make sure it looks flawless and blended.

I then took the gold glitter gel from my MUA luxe palette, and put this into the inner corner of my eye and onto the inner half of my lid, making sure to not bring it into the crease as I wanted a slight cut crease effect here.

I then took Benefit’s Bad Gal eyeliner in Espresso and just lined my lash line and in my waterline also. I wanted a slight cat eye effect with this look and used the L’Oreal Super liner in black to create a thin line on my lash line and brought this out into a thin delicate flick. For this look I wanted super long lashes, and so went for Maybelline ‘The Falsies’ Mascara as this makes my lashes beautiful and long. This mascara is a great base for false lashes if you are looking for a seriously dramatic look. The false lashes that I chose were the Eylure Lengthening No. 035. These are a bit more natural then I would have liked, but nevertheless they still gave that extra definition and texture to the lashes!

Shimmery Plum and Beige Eyeshadow Makeup Tutorial!

Hi everyone! How are we all? Today’s blog post is a makeup tutorial showing you how to achieve this shimmery plum and beige look! I absolutely loved this look – perfect for clubbing and evenings out with friends! So keep reading to see how I achieved this makeup look!

1. Base

When you are going to apply a dramatic eyeshadow I always feel it looks best when your base is flawless, in order to avoid distraction from the beautiful eyes! For starters, I used the Mac Prep and Prime Skin Base Visage. I was sent a tester for this product, and I will definitely be buying the full size! It’s so creamy and moisturising, as well as ensuring my base lasts all night. I then buffed in my Lancome Teint Miracle Bare Skin Foundation, as this product gives me flawless skin but looks dewey and natural. I then applied my Rimmel Wake Me Up Concealer just under my eyes with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge. I then went onto my eyebrows and used the Benefit Browzings eyebrow kit. This is one of my holy grail items – I just couldn’t live without it!

2. Contouring, blush and highlight

Next you want to contour the hollows of your cheeks. This instantly slims as sometimes foundation can make your face look flat and round – So this helps to bring that shape back into your face again. I contoured with the Benefit Hoola Bronzer. I used the blusher from the Sleek Contour and Blush Palette in Light, and just applied it to the apples of my cheeks. I then highlighted too with the same palette, on the tops of my cheek bones, cupids bow and brow bone.

3. Eyes

Now comes the exciting part! To create my entire eye look I used the Too Faced Chocolate Bar Palette as the eyeshadows are extremely pigmented and blend effortlessly! I started by applying the shade Salted Caramel into and above my crease, in order to make the eyeshadows blend perfectly and to give some warmth to the eyes. Next, I went for Cherry Cordial, and took a tiny bit of this and blended it through the crease. This shade is extremely pigmented so blending gradually will work best. After this, I patted Marzipan on the centre of the lid. This is a beautiful shimmery beige shade and really brightened up the eyes. I then took Haute Chocolate and applied this on the outer v and lined underneath my eyes. To highlight my inner corners I used the shade Champagne Truffle. I then drew a thin line of eyeliner over my top lid, using the Bourjois Liner Clubbing in Ultra Black. I only drew a tiny flick as I didn’t really want cat eyes for this look. I lined my lower waterline with the Max Factor Liquid Effect Pencil in Black Fire. For my lashes, I went with the Max Factor Masterpiece Mascara, and then added false lashes on top, which were the Lengthening No. 116 by Eyelure. These lashes are my absolute obsession at the moment, and I highly recommend them!

3. Lips

Lastly, the lips! I wanted a dramatic lip for this look, so I went for Craving by Mac. This is a beautiful shade of red/plum and was one of my first ever Mac lipsticks! I feel it really complimented the eyes.

Clubbing / Night Out Golden Glitter Eyes with Shocking Pink Lips Tutorial!

Today is such an exciting day for me as it’s the first blog where I will be using my brand new camera! I was lucky enough to receive a Canon SLR 100D from my parents for finishing university with a decent grade, and as I was really getting into my blogging! It’s an incredible camera, and will allow me to show you the true colours of my makeup tutorials! I can’t wait 🙂 This tutorial is inspired by a clubbing night out, using gold glitter, lots of shimmer and shocking pink lips to finish. Keep reading to find out how I achieved this look!

IMG_0138

This tutorial is just going to be focusing on the eyes and the lips, but if you would like to know what products I have used also, please comment below and I will be happy to answer 🙂

I started with applying Mac’s All That Glitters through the crease, blending it thoroughly and bring it up towards the eyebrows, but not too high. Mac’s Honesty eyeshadow was then patted onto the lid, in order to brighten up this area, as we want to eyes to really sparkle!

IMG_0096

I then took MUA’s Luxe Glitter Eye Palette in Burlesque, and applied the gold shaded glitter onto the lid. This is quite sticky, so it is best to just pat this on rather then brushing it onto the lid, as it can become quite uneven this way.

IMG_0108

I then applied Mac’s All That Glitters under the eye, and put Mac’s Nylon into the inner corners of my eyes. This highlighter is just incredible for this area, as it is extremely metallic and bright! After the eyeshadow was done, I used Maybelline’s EyeStudio Lasting Drama Gel Liner in black, and lined the top lid with a line that is of a medium thickness, and created a small flick at the end. I lined my lower waterline with Max Factor’s Liquid Effect Pencil in the shade Black Fire. Lastly for the eyes, I applied Max Factor’s Masterpiece High Definition Mascara on my lashes, including my lower lashes. This really made my green eyes pop!

I finished off the look with Mac’s Chatterbox, as this is a beautiful bright Barbie pink shade. It really complimented the gold glitter, and I felt this made the look appropriate for a night out with the girls!

Glamorous Evening Eye Makeup using Mac Eyeshadows!

Hi everyone!

So I went out for the evening with my girls and decided that I really wanted to do glamorous eye makeup. I had a little idea of what I wanted to do, and knew I wanted to use my new Mac eyeshadows below – the left hand side shadow is called All That Glitters, and the right hand side shade is Cranberry. I had only swatched these shades, so I was extremely excited to see what I could do with them!

IMG_0744

I won’t go into detail about my base products (primer, foundation, etc) in this tutorial as I have done lots of blog posts on this already, but I did use Lancome Teint Miracle Bare Skin Foundation. If you have any questions at all on this then please comment below and  I will be happy to answer them.

IMG_0708

The first colour I used on my eyes was Cranberry, which I applied using the Real Techniques Blending Brush into my crease and slightly upwards towards my brow bone, as I wanted this to be a dramatic look. Blending is absolute key in this look, so definitely get yourself a good blending brush if you don’t already have one, as you don’t want any harsh lines due to this colour being so prominent. Here is a before blending and after blending picture, which shows you the huge difference it can make!

IMG_0711IMG_0715

I then patted the shade All That Glitters onto my lid, and softly blended this into the cranberry shade through the crease. These colours look absolutely stunning together. Once Cranberry has been completely blended, you can take this on your outer v also, and blend through the crease again to intensify the colour. I also dabbed a tiny bit of Mac Nylon into my inner corners as a highlight.

IMG_0714

Next, I took cranberry underneath the eye, starting from the edge and only taking this into the middle. As it’s such a bright shade you don’t want to take this the whole way as it can close up your eyes. On the inner half of your under eye area, you want to take All That Glitters and line your eye with this. It’s important to blend the two colours together to create an ombre affect, as this looks really pretty!

IMG_0720IMG_0721

Once I had finished the eyeshadow, I lined my upper lid with Max Factor Colour X-Pert Waterproof eyeliner. I will say one thing about this eyeliner – It is definitely NOT waterproof! I wouldn’t repurchase, as it has absolutely no staying power whatsoever. So when I do this look again, I will try a different liner. I lined my waterline with a black eyeliner.

Now for the dramatic lashes! This is the first tutorial that I have used false lashes on, as I don’t tend to wear them often, but for this look they are absolutely essential! I firstly coated my upper and lower lashes with the Smashbox Full Exposure mascara, and then applied a pair of Eylure Naturalite eyelashes. I then applied Mac’s Hot Gossip lip stick, as I didn’t want anything too dark but wanted to keep with the warm shades.

Here is the finished look, before the lipstick and after!
